The has deployed vehicle tracking system (VTS) under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) to accelerate construction of roads in rural areas and ensure their quality.

A GPS-based VTS has been installed on over 950 equipment and machinery being used in the construction of village roads.
