Govt to spend Rs 500 cr for women’s safety 40 police pink booths to be opened in every dist

The Yogi Adityanath government is going to take a big step towards giving security to half the Population of the state. The government will spend about Rs 500 crore in this direction.

Under this, 10,417 scooties will be purchased for the Women‘s beat system. In a high-level meeting of the Home department, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to implement this scheme. Not only this, under this scheme, the government will also open 40 Police pink booths in each district of the state. In this way, a total of 3,000 police pink booths will be set up in 75 districts of the state. Of these, 20 pink booths will be set up at religious and tourist places. Twenty scooties will also be purchased for patrolling by women policemen to be posted at these booths.

The government will spend more than three crore rupees for the construction of booths and purchase of scooty. For this entire scheme, the government will spend more than Rs 195 crore in . At the same time, more than Rs 297 crore will be spent on the operational expenditure of the scheme.

In the 2022 UP assembly Elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party had promised to open police pink booths in every district of the state. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is now going to fulfill the same announcement.

Special care will be taken for the convenience of women in these pink booths. In these booths, arrangements will be made for women from the restroom, washroom, complaint room, kitchen to first aid.

With the establishment of pink booths in all the districts and religious and tourist places, on the one hand, the women of the state will get rid of the malpractices and, on the other, women will be able to openly tell the police about other violence and misbehavior against them, including domestic violence.

Ministry of Education releases report on Performance Grading Index for States/UTs for the year 2020-21

The Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education today released the Performance Grading Index (PGI) for States/UTs for 2020-21, a unique index for evidence based comprehensive analysis of school education system across State/UTs.

The Indian Education System is one of the largest in the world with about 14.9 lakh schools, 95 lakh teachers, and nearly 26.5 crore students from varied socio-economic backgrounds. DoSE&L devised PGI for States/UTs to provide insights and data driven mechanism on the performance and achievements of on the success of school education across all States/UTs. The prime objective of PGI is to promote evidence-based policy making and highlight course correction to ensure quality education for all. So far, DoSE&L has released PGI report for the year 2017-18, 2018-19 and 2019-20. The present report is for the year 2020-21.

The PGI structure comprises of 1000 points across 70 indicators grouped into 2 categories viz., Outcomes, Governance Management (GM). These categories are further divided into 5 domains, viz., Learning Outcomes (LO), Access (A), & Facilities (IF), Equity (E) & Governance Process (GP).

Odishas common credit portal

SAFAL (Simplified Application for Agricultural Loans) is Indias first online Agricultural credit facilitation portal. This common credit portal eases access to over 300 term loan products provided for farmers and agri-entrepreneurs. These term loan products will be provided by more than 40 partner banks.

The portal acts as a one-stop solution for farmers and agri-entrepreneurs to access loans offered by public and , Regional Rural Banks, state Cooperative banks and small finance banks.
