UPPSC Upper Subordinate (PCS) Notification 2025 -Apply Now

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has released the notification for the Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services (PCS) Examination 2025 and Assistant Conservator of Forest (A.C.F.) / Range Forest Officer (R.F.O.) Services Examination 2025 under Advertisement No. A-1/E-1/2025 dated 20/02/2025.


1. Important Dates

  • Online Application Start Date: 20th February 2025
  • Last Date for Online Application Submission & Fee Payment: 24th March 2025
  • Last Date for Fee Reconciliation & Application Correction: 2nd April 2025
  • Preliminary Examination Date: To be announced

2. Application Process

One Time Registration (O.T.R.) Mandatory

  • Candidates must first complete One Time Registration (O.T.R.) at otr.pariksha.nic.in at least 72 hours before applying.
  • Once registered, candidates can apply online through uppsc.up.nic.in.

Steps for Online Application

  1. Authenticate with O.T.R. using OTP or password.
  2. Complete Part-1: Personal details (auto-filled from O.T.R.), select the exam (PCS, ACF/RFO, or both).
  3. Complete Part-2: Provide permanent and correspondence address, educational details, and preferential qualifications.
  4. Pay Application Fee through SBI MOPS (Net Banking, Card Payment, or Other Payment Modes).
  5. Final Submission & Printout: Keep a hard copy for future reference.

4. Vacancies & Pay Scale

  • Total Vacancies (PCS Exam): Approximately 200 (subject to change)
  • Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF): 10 vacancies
  • Range Forest Officer (RFO): Vacancies to be announced later.

5. Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit (As of 1st July 2025)

  • Minimum Age: 21 years
  • Maximum Age: 40 years (born between 02/07/1985 to 01/07/2004)
  • Age Relaxation:
    • SC/ST/OBC of UP: 5 years (Up to 45 years)
    • PWD: 15 years (Up to 55 years)
    • Ex-Servicemen: 3 years + service period

Educational Qualification

  • For Most PCS Posts: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
  • For Specific Posts: Some require specialized degrees (e.g., Agriculture, Commerce, Law, Engineering, Veterinary Sciences, etc.).
  • For ACF/RFO Posts:
    • ACF: Bachelor’s Degree in Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Geology, Forestry, Agriculture, Statistics, or Engineering.
    • RFO: Bachelor’s Degree with at least two of the following subjects: Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Forestry, Geology, Agriculture, Statistics, Horticulture, Environment, or Bachelor’s in Agriculture/Engineering/Veterinary Science.

6. Selection Process

Stages of Examination

  1. Preliminary Examination: Objective-type paper (General Studies I & II).
  2. Main Examination: Written descriptive paper.
  3. Interview (Personality Test): Final round for selected candidates.

    • Male: 25 km in 4 hours
    • Female: 14 km in 4 hours
    • Conducted by Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, UP.

8. Other Important Instructions

  • Candidates must not send hard copies of applications for Prelims.
  • All communications will be sent via SMS & email.
  • Modifications allowed till the last correction date.
  • False claims will lead to debarment for 5 years.
  • Domicile of UP required for reservation benefits.
